Kanye West Sued By Man Who Claims He Wasn’t Paid For Security Work at Malibu Pad
Kanye West is facing a new legal battle, this time from a man claiming he was hired to provide security at the rapper’s Malibu home but never received payment.
The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, alleges that the plaintiff, identified as Michael Williams, worked as a security guard at West’s sprawling Malibu estate between June and July 2023. Williams claims he was hired by a representative of West and performed his duties diligently, but was ultimately left unpaid for his services.
The suit doesn’t specify the amount of money Williams is seeking, but it does claim he is owed “wages, penalties, and other relief.” Williams further alleges that he was “deliberately and willfully denied wages” and that West acted with “malice, oppression, and fraud.”
This lawsuit adds to the growing list of legal challenges West has been facing in recent months. He was recently ordered to pay $1.2 million to a company for failing to fulfill a lease agreement for an office space in Wyoming.
West’s legal team has not yet responded to the lawsuit. It remains to be seen how the case will unfold, but it highlights the ongoing legal troubles that continue to plague the rapper and fashion mogul.
